In 1971, David and Ginny Adelsheim staked their claim in Oregon and opened one of the founding wineries of the now-famous Willamette Valley, an area that, at the time, was uncharted territory for the Pinot Noir grape. Adelsheim Vineyard was also the very first winery in the Chehalem Mountains AVA (American Viticultural Area), and they have been incredible ambassadors for the region, producing beautiful wines (mostly Pinot Noir, but also Chardonnay, Syrah, and a few other small-production wines) ever since! Adelsheim is a L.I.V.E. certified sustainable winery, and a seven-time Wine & Spirits magazine Top 100 Winery.
