Pendleton Wyeth Trail Blanket, Twin

In the Iroquois legend of the Three Sisters, beans, squash and corn grow together, thriving through the Native American practice of companion planting. Today, pure strains of Native crops are hard to come by. Seed Saver banks in Decorah, Iowa, and Tucson, Arizona, store precious seeds from long ago plants. In the harmonious colors of ancient corn varieties, a balanced pattern of rows echoes the ancient gardens, with arrows pointing in two directions, towards the past and the future.

Long regarded as a premium wool blanket, our Pendleton blankets have a tremendous history going back to the days of the wild west. The label which reads, "Warranted to be a Pendleton," meant the highest quality when trademarked. The wool is sourced mainly from Oregon and Washington. The blankets are woven in mills in eastern Oregon and eastern Washington. Many of the blankets have fabric blends to improve the qualities of hand, colorfastness, and durability. |
