About Manufacturer

Long regarded as a premium wool blanket, our Pendleton blankets have a tremendous history going back to the days of the wild west. The label which reads, "Warranted to be a Pendleton," meant the highest quality when trademarked. The wool is sourced mainly from Oregon and Washington. The blankets are woven in mills in eastern Oregon and eastern Washington. Many of the blankets have fabric blends to improve the qualities of hand, colorfastness, and durability.

Heirloom blanket that will last
Pendleton blankets have been used by my family for generations. They are quality wool blankets. They last and can be used as heirloom pieces. I love the National Parks and my family and I will support any company that also supports and celebrates their existence.

The other reviewer appears shocked that you have to wash wool differently. Unless you have chemically altered wool (like SOME machine washable wool) you CANNOT machine wash wool or it will mesh the fibers into a denser fabric (felted wool). Essentially, washing it speeds up the process that occurs during the course of natural use (pilling). You CAN delicately soak (do not agitate, ring or rub fabric together) wool blankets in woolite, Soak (TM) or other mild soap instead of dry cleaning your blanket and lay flat to dry or hang outside.
Beautiful, Warm, But......
I purchased the Queen size blanket approximately 6 months ago and use it daily on my bed. It is quite eye catching and kept me nice and warm, but not hot, throughout the Winter nights.

My only complaint, and it's a big one, is that the white is extremely hard to keep clean and the blanket is dry clean only which is expensive and it pills a lot, I comb it down weekly to remove the pills and am afraid in a year or two I will not have a blanket left!

For a blanket coming over $200 I expected one that would hold together better, white is white, you can't do anything about that.

If I had to buy it again I probably would not knowing what I know now.
