Glass Forge has been hand blowing exceptional glass pieces in Grants Pass, OR since 1998. Founder Lee Wassink began his passion like many do, by stumbling on it by complete accident. He took a glass blowing class at Center College in Iowa his sophomore year without any intention of continuing after the semester. Clearly, his heart had different intentions. He became an apprentice to an Italian glass master Lino Taglipietra while finishing his degree, and after graduating, became fully absorbed in his craft. After working with established glass blowers across California and Oregon, his father (fortunately for us!) mentioned a studio for rent in Grants Pass, OR, where he still works today. He would also want us to mention that he now owns that studio. Lee continues to push his glass art to breathtaking heights, using traditional Italian techniques to achieve remarkable detail, colors and style in his work.
